- hersheyExplorerSorry but I have to ask? How many puppies are you traveling with in a MH?
I love pets as much as the next guy...well maybe I don't love the next guys dogs all that much but, perhaps its an omen telling you that too many dogs in a MH is pushing the envelope????? Puppies are going to get bored and chew, tug, pull, scratch anything that they can get to move to occupy their time. But...again to fix the problem which your question was and not how to deal with dogs...get a professional to fix the hole, they can do some amazing work and make an invisible mend. - smlrangerExplorerAs to the dogs, 'crate train' them. It is not hard, just takes a bit of time. Once trained to the crate, they will actually like it. It becomes their 'safe place.' Also, some dogs will develop separation anxiety and develop destructive habits when you leave them alone. Sometimes leaving a radio or TV on helps. However, crate training them is your best bet.
- deandecExplorerDo not repair it until the pups are house trained. Put a rug down for now.
Hve lots of chew toys around and play time with you, the dog, and the toys. Good that you will crate train them. - dodgerdogExplorerHey its what dogs do.... I've had my fair share of puppies and will continue to have dog(s) my entire life.... I lost 2 couches kitchen tables chairs cellphones shoes dish towels.... they can all be replaced.... would I ever get rid of any of my puppies (fur Kids) nope.... Its just part of the game of having kids.... Maybe you can just upgrade to a laminate floor not that expensive and much more puppy friendly.... Just a thought....
Mike C. - mrhibsExplorerThanks for the sugestions. Good info. O we will be crateing them. LOL

I commend you for not wanting to get rid of your dogs! I like dogs more then most people! They teach you how to live in the moment and unconditional love something most people don't have a clue! And putting them in a crate even though it sounds easy to say is very stressful on some dogs like are 4 month old standard poodle the crate is not working for us. Were still trying to figure out what works best? Were going to try a doggie daycare next? As far as the floor is concerned I would have a pro floor guy come out and take a look! Most give free estimates and good advice. Sorry to hear about your doggie damage and good luck!
Need help,. Puppies chewed up about a 12 inch portion of floor covering on a 2013 challenger. How to repair. And no I cant get rid of dogs. - hersheyExplorer`With an RV that new, I'd spend the few bucks to have it repaired professionally. It can be done with invisible results.
The dogs??? well I have several suggestions but you made it clear your not interested :)
' - carpetguy2ExplorerJust find a piece to replace it with.Under bed or etc.
Get your self a nice new razor knife and straight piece of .metal and a flat head screw driver.
Use the screwdriver (a awl works better) just run it through the fibers to separate them all around the bad spot.
Run your razor along the straight edge of the metal where you separated the fibers
Take the cut out piece out .Set it on top of the new piece and trace cut it out
They sell a self adhievsive seam tape at any hardware store.
Set it on all the open cut edges and set the piece in.
.
If not handy enough to do that a local carpet guy should be called and might charge 50 to 75 $ - Dutch_12078Explorer IIYou may be able to extract a matching piece of the flooring from inside a cabinet or under the bed where it won't be seen. A good floor covering installer can cut in the piece so the repair is virtually invisible.
- raindoveExplorerMy biggest concern would be if the puppies ingested any of it. If they did, watch and make sure they don't have any intestinal blockages.
As far as fixing, if you can't match it, find a nice throw rug to put over it.
I'd be crating those puppies if they are doing these kinds of tricks when you are away.
