Where I store my motorhome, there is no electricity. My fridge (Dometic) is gas/electric. The fridge gives "preference" to electricity. When preparing for a trip, the night before I bring it up to the house, I turn on my coach batteries, then turn on the fridge (on "gas"). It cools overnight. At the house, I simply plug into my 110 house electricity to top off the coach batteries. (Using adaptors and extention cord)The fridge control board is always on "automatic"...meaning it switches by itself from electric to gas (and back) as needed.
All is well. (Of course, using 110, I don't use the a/c units! But everything else works fine)
