Well it did make a difference, after doing the dog house I found noise coming from the floor/fire wall area around doghouse and did this area as well and the noise level was half by the time I was done, I would recommend this to anyone that what's to make there motorhome even more quiet.

My doghouse does have carpet on the outside and the doghouse is a double wall for noise reduction but still needed more improvement in this area, most motorhome manufactures lack making the doghouse as quiet as possible.

I can't speak for all "C"s but, the two that we had, a '77 Dodge Four Star and, an '89 Ford "Utra", both had under dog house insulation from the factory. While it did ok in most circumstances, I, as usual, always want to "change" the rules. So, I put that stuff that's got aluminum foil and the blue colored under carpet wool type stuff to the bottom side of the dog house covers. It's been way too long ago but, if I recall, it did make some pretty good difference.

But, if I had to do it again, I might just look into those "Q-pads" the OP is talking about.

Note : They are non flammable and can be used in the engine compartment but would not use them next to the exhaust manifolds.

Here is a video of how the stuff works, the product in this video is of a different brand but the Q-Pads are the same, like I said in my 1st post my noise level was cut in half if not more.

You can buy Q-Pads on Amazon, Wal-Mart or just find them in auto parts stores that sell auto paint products.

No pics, the install is straight forward, just stick them inside the doghouse area.

They are made of a special type fiberglass/rubber, very thin, thought at 1st it would not work but by my surprise it work great, says it can handle up to 300 degrees.

No reflective surface on these products, you can order some with that, my class A doghouse has no heat issues to begin with so I don't see it getting hotter, package says it can handle 300 degrees, I would not use this on a class C because motor sits to high but on most class A doghouse the motor sits low.
