Question re: shotgun in MH

I know the need for a ccp for a handgun carried in the MH and that a ccp issued in one state might not be honored in all states.BUT BUT can shotguns be carried legally? Or, do regulations concerning shotguns vary depending upon the state(s) being traveled in?
  • I can tell You that in Canada, during Hunting Season, and provided that You have a Hunting License for Game that is in season. It is allowed! But only to shoot defensless Critters like Geese ,Ducks and Grouse. you can even have a Rifle to hunt Deer,Elk and Moose!

That said You are not allowed to use any firearms here for self defence !

You have to let the Bad Guys Win!

    That's the Freaking Rules!
  • Florida has the most lienient gun laws of any sate except maybe texas. I suggest you reaserch Flordia gun laws. Dont believe what you read on these forums as far as gun laws are concerned. I will say that your RV is an extension of your home, so understand what your 2nd ammendmant rights are

Best advice is to check the states' laws in which you plan to travel. Most have reciprocal Concealed Carry agreements so you should be good to go, but there are specific restrictions on carrying in vehicles that vary immensely from state to state. In some states, the weapon must be carried in a locked compartment inside the vehicle. In others, it must be unloaded, and yet in others they really don't care as long as you have your CCW. There are a few cities that might prohibit the transport of firearms altogether. So again, it's best to map out your route and check the applicable laws. As for me and my coach, regardless of where I am,....well...don't come sneaking around in the middle of the night and not expect a loud greeting...... ;-)
X2, why shouldn't I have the right to protect my wife and myself, there are bad people in this world

The best answer is regulations vary from place to place, Not only state to state but sometimes lesser governments get in the act as well.

My official position on gun regulation: Mixed emotions, thus can not post more.
  • Regulations vary depending on whether it is loaded and whether or not you are parked or driving. Get this book to find out the various State laws. Travelers Guide
