  • The only true answer is in the owner's manual that came with the truck. Look in the manual under recreational towing.....Dennis
  • Access to the FMCA dinghy guides are free with membership and they go back well over ten years.
  • The best source for all things TOAD, or dinghy as they refer to them/

Every year make model can be different, some no way, some with alterations. This guide will tell you exactly what your friend needs. I see where past issues are for sale for $1.99? The last few years are still free. A quick google may find you a free copy out there in cyber world.

  • Remco drive shaft disconnect? No longer built by Remco to my recollection. These were a great system that allowed us to tow, two Ford Aerostar rear wheel drive vans, equipped with automatic transmissions.

    David,
Well Sir, this is really a vague question. "Quick Disconnect" FOR WHAT? The pig tail? The tow bar? The safety chains or cables? And, what's also important here is, what year is his F-150? You see, Ford, in it's infinite wisdom, didn't allow the F-150 in 4WD or, 2WD flat towable until the model year 2012.

  • I'm assuming you are talking about towing with a tow-bar. To answer the question, more information will be needed. Does the F150 fall within the towing limits of the Class A? (is it a DP?) What year is the truck? Is it 2WD or 4WD? The more the information you can gather, the better (and more accurate) the answer will be.
