Rattle/play in hitch attach

This is exactly what I did, only with a 3/8" bolt. Worked perfect.

I wedge a piece of thin aluminum or steel between the receiver and hitch square hole. But this can make it hard to remove the receiver for different receivers. Tape sounds (pun intended) the easiest/cheapest.

Had the same problem when I used to pull a travel trailer.

Bought a thingamajig that was supposed to cure it....Finally just ignored it.

In my case I have a bicycle carrier mounted on the custom modified drop receiver.. Thus I really do not want it "Rattelling" around as it would toss the bike about rather firmly.

The Blue Ox Hitch Immobilizer fixed it solid (Only it was called an Anti-Rattle clip when I bought it)

Blue ox welded a "tong" on the top of it for the hitch mount bicycle carrier to fit on. Works great. They can do wonders when you visit the factory with your problem.. Nice campground there too.

I was getting some wear with the drop hitch and installed 2 of the Roadmaster devices at $25 each.

Mine was getting harder to remove due to the hole flare that was developing.
