Congrats on getting it running but I would highly suggest checking fuel pressure. I have a 2001 with the Ford V10 and had a very frustrating sporatic starting issue. It would start and run fine and then all of a sudden, wouldn't start. Left me frustrated at a campground more than once as it would run fine on the way to the campground but when I would pull in to register and turn it off, it would often just turn over and not start.
Long story short, I checked the fuel pressure and found that it would build pressure but fall off quickly. I replaced the in tank fuel pump and found that a small rubber hose on the pump had rotted allowing fuel pressure to bleed off.
I swapped out the fuel pump and it's been flawless for many years since.
