We made our maiden voyage recently, just a short hop up to Santa Barbara for a day at the beach. I ran it by my tire/suspension shop and the front end is in pretty good shape. The boots are torn on the upper ball joints, but the only play was in the steering box. Nothing that $250 parts plus 2 1/1 hour labor won't fix. We lubed it up and after a few miles everything settled down and it drove much better. I think I can put off the steering box replacement for a while. The previous owner was at the beach party, and he said the dash scratches were there when he got it and that he hadn't heard that the engine was ever out. Now that the passenger seat is in, I see that they are right where your feet are, so that is the likely cause. I have more work to do to it next week. All my new interior lights are here, my new PD9260, WFCO8930, and Iota transfer switch are all here. And our new awning is on it's way, the fun never ends.
