I have a 2006 Winnebago Aspect 26A on an E450 chassis with the 6.8. I am perfectly happy with it. I know for the 2008 model year Aspect 26A there were no significant changes. I don't know about other similar class C's though. I guess what I am saying is that I suspect your question will be difficult to answer unless you have a specific model in mind.
For me, it would depend upon how much over budget? Unless there are significant differences, I would rather spend the difference enjoying the RV. :)
