Unfortunately they WILL NOT cave and if they find out you are Active Duty they will threaten to call your commander and report you for causing THEM trouble.
If they do that then have your commander's duty number on a paper and hand it to them and tell them to go right ahead but remind them that YOUR commander is very understanding and WILL listen to YOUR side of the story!
