Phil, i would have never even thought about having all those features. do they come on all winnies today, or just itaskas, or are they now options? the ford/chevy discount and service issue it a good point to keep in mind, too.
Dean, how do you think a typical outing might go? park and hangout w/ the rig perhaps w/ the awning unfurled and a fully furnished camp; reserve a cg spot but spend day touring around - you did not mention if you will usually or never have a toad; or never stay at one site but go on long tours. it was an eyeopener when we learned that there is less spontaneity to rving than imagined. busy weekends and vacation seasons demand fore plans, and winter can shut everything down up north, and jam up a lot down south (esp TX, FL, AL). since retirement, going to places during weekdays is what we shoot for - mostly 1 or 2 nites at sp to naturalize the pooches.
on the rig, whew, a glance at your choices and posted msrps! things have really gone up. i like the idea already mentioned of spending less on rig and spend extra on travel. in the current market, what is your target price (rough +/-) for new?
