Spend some time in different length/floor plan rigs simulating your use on the road and camped. Try climbing up the ladder into the overhead bed and getting back out and down the ladder without disturbing your partner. Convert the dinette or jacknife sofa into a bed and imagine making and unmaking it. Sit on the pot and get into the shower stall. Lay on the rear bed, if any, check access and ease of getting in and out of bed and imagine making it. Check out the kitchen including drawers and cabinets for galley and other stuff. If there are slides, notice access problems underway with slides retracted. Explore exterior storage access and space for your toys and essentials.
Having used small van conversions, with little storage provisions, converting this into that, finding stuff in clutter of paper bags and boxes in the shower stall and aisle can get on your nerves after a week or so. You might grow to hate getting into and out of the overhead bed after the novelty wears off, especially in the middle of the night. Motorhomes are compromises in length vs comfort and convenience.
