Hi All,
The OP here. I got to see the following rigs at Van City RV in St. Louis on Tuesday:
Leisure Travel Van - Serenity (1); Unity (1)
Renegade Villagio (2)
Pleasure Way XL Plateau (couple of other even smaller units)
Dynamax Isata 280ish (used)
As I mentioned earlier, my current short dream list is. . .
1. Phoenix Cruiser 2552
2. Nexus 27V Viper
3. Leisure Travel Van Unity
4. Winnebago View 24V
5. Lazy Daze 27' MB
My observations after seeing the above rigs:
The Pleasure Way Plateau XL is one sweet rig, but it is a bit small for us and a Murphy Bed is not the right floor plan for us.
I got to see the LTV Unity Murphy Bed. Once again very impressed with the quality; however, I am more interested in the TB or IB floor plans. But, the galley and LR are tight.
I was not that familiar with the Renegade Villagio 25 TBS. It is similar to the LTV Unity TB. Very nice, BUT, the sofa slide is quite small (similar to most small sofa slides in MBS units). I looked at the Renegade Villiagio 25 HAB. I don't want a hide-a-way for my primary bed, but the larger sofa was VERY NICE. Later in the evening, I was surfing Renegade's website and noticed that the Villagio comes in the 25 RBS floor plan (corner bed with a larger slide that includes a larger sofa, wardrobe, and pantry). Corner beds are not my favorite, BUT this corner bed has about 8 to 10 inches of open space at the enclosed corner foot that I like. Most importantly, I think the larger slide with the larger sofa, plus the pantry and wardrobe would give ample relaxation space, plus open up the floor plan overall.
Even though I prefer a Ford Chassis over the MBS chassis, I still have MBS rigs on my list. Now, I think I am adding the Renegade Villiagio 25 RBS to my short list. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts about Renegade, the Villagio, particularly the 25 RBS floor plan. I will research it as well, but wanted to see if there were any updates.
I am amazed with the "compromise reality" of buying an RV!!!
Take care,
Dean
