Also, while loading up that Promaster chassis in the rear - regardless of whether or not that part's done correctly/safely - the front is getting unloaded. Unloading the end of the vehicle where you want maximum traction is not good.
Now ... a 4X4 Promaster chassis under a motorhome would be a different story altogether ... if one can live with the jeopardy of carrying heavy weights over single rear tires on each side. Single rear tires on each side give you no safety redundancy in case of a sudden loss of pressure in one of the rear tires. FWIW, this same issue should also be very important when one is setting up a moderately heavy to heavy truck camper with regards to deciding whether to use a SRW or DRW pickup truck.
