I AM Amazed how you people read so much into a standard CYA statement in an owners manual. Winne had that statement over 30 years ago and it has NOTHING to do with HUD or any Gov. Authority. WHAT it actually is, The disclaimer is a general statement to keep fulltimers from demanding On site repairs under warranty. I cannot tell you how many times a customer calls us and states, WE MUST come out to their Homesite or RV park and FIX all the items under warranty, because they have set up the RV and cannot easily move it or cannot move it due to various items they have installed around the RV. ESPECIALLY if they have Purchased a Towable and have NO TRUCK to tow it. The OEM's fall back on that disclaimer BECAUSE YOU HAVE PURCHASED A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, and NOT a permanent Home. Most Modular/Mobile homes, the Selling dealer and the OEM have arangments o do warranty repairs on site because those cannot be easily moved o not at all due to electric/plumbing hook ups. doug
