Are you using full hookups or a generator? If not, how big is your battery bank?

As for using propane, since you have an older rig, I'd recommend having the propane system tested for leaks, etc. It's not that expensive, is easy for them to do and will help put your mind at ease.

Even though it's a two-way (LPG and 120VAC) or three-way (LPG, 120VAC and 12VDC) it still requires a charged Coach/House (as opposed to Chassis) battery to operate. We had an RM763 ("3" for three-way) and didn't use the 12VDC mode. All it takes is disconnecting one wire. That wire goes hot when the coach is running (probably the Accessory terminal of the Ignition Switch). I eventually removed all the 12VDC parts (the element, a plastic relay, and some wiring). Running on LPG on the road is OK, just shut fridge off to fill gasoline or LPG. If you don't open the fridge, it'll stay cold for a day's travel if it was cold when you head out.

Dennis I am charging the system now and when it's fully charged I will start at the beginning and let everyone know how it goes. rvten... it is an 86 Mohican I haven't used the stove yet I love to cook old school open fire... and I do feel gas is safe but mh is an oldy and I am not the original owner.. just makes me uneasy. We will eventually have the tanks filled and checked but for now it's not needed

Do you have the MH manuals? Suggest you read them.
Using gas is very safe.
Would like more detail on how you are using everything.
Make and model MH would also help us.

Even if you're hooked up to shore power, the fridge needs 12V power to function correctly.

For a better response,

Make sure your battery bank is fully charged.
Locate and post the BRAND and MODEL number of your fridge.
Locate the source of the beeping and post the results.

The last two suggestions will give you a better response and help you locate the source of your issues....Dennis

Low battery voltage!

Oh and I actually have two alarms that sound off.. one when it has been sitting awhile without running or electricity...it beeps now and then like when the battery is low in a smoke alarm...the other described in the other post is like a smoke alarm going off.. but it only does it when I first unplug it..and like I said goes off after I drive awhile...

Tucson Jim has a good point. If the rig's battery is drawn down, the lp detector could be the issue. Many run on 12 volts off the rig. This could happen more often if the refer is running off 12 volts DC.

Yes mine is three way though I don't know how everything functions yet. I did make the mistake of letting the fridge run on battery while driving I didn't realize it would automatically switch to battery. Once I figured that out I started turning it off while in travel. As far as running on gas.. I have never used any of the appliances on gas so I don't know if it will run on gas. Honestly the gas makes me nervous.

The alarm is probably your LP gas detector. It goes off when the battery gets low. When you drive, the alternator is charging the battery and the alarm goes off.

As for the refrigerator, it sounds like you might have an electrical connection problem or a circuit breaker might have tripped. Will it work on gas mode?
You can open the cabinet to the refrigerator on the outside and unplug it. Then plug in a light or other electrical device to see if you have electricity to the outlet the refrigerator normally plugs into. If not, you can start tracing where the electricity problem might be?
