Road Warrior Motor homes

My ceiling fan stop working. Does anyone. have information on the manufacturer. Or had their ceiling fan repaired?

Yes exactly, sounds what is happening, i will check the motor to see if its warm. I thought my wife was turning the fan off and I would turn it on and it would work, I guess it was cool down and then work. I will try the oil with jumper to 12 volt. Is it worth locating bearings or would be better to replace with new if this continues?

    Thanks

Assuming this is a fan in a vent, and even more assuming it's the typical low-end sort that most makers install, I rather doubt you'd find just the bearings; I don't think they're generally built to be replaceable. You might be able to source a suitable replacement motor for not excessively much money.

However, upgraded fans such as the Fantastic Fan are not all that expensive, relatively speaking. If my fans were to stop working and not readily repairable, I would very seriously consider putting in a better one of some sort. There is a certain amount of menial labor involved particularly in removing old caulking/sealing to get the old fan out, but it's basically a straightforward job.

Ceiling Fan: Yes, u can start the fan by given the fan a turn and it will start up, but makes a sound and then will stop after a story amount of time.

ok, when it stops are you able to feel the motor. Is it warm or hot to the touch. It sounds like the motor is making a 'sound' because the motors bearings are most likely lacking

lubrication. The motor will run, but when under a load it warms up and will shut off on an internal protector. Once it cools it will run again. I have had these happen to me

and my first choice would be to remove the fan, turn the motor with the shaft turned upward and drop a little 3 in 1 oil on the shaft, turn shaft around a few times, let sit overnight

and re install. If you are handy with jumper wires hook the motor to a 12 volt source and clamp it in a vice and let it run while using a little oil to the shaft. I have disassembled all

types of motors in my career so I just take them apart and service the bearings. bearings are usually the cause of many motor failures.

I don't think the ceiling fan is Road Warrior specific.
Did you check fuses? Is the switch bad?
Use a volt meter to make sure you have power to the fan.
    It may be something simple.

Most RV 'stuff' is made by different manufacturers and is readily available. Will the blades turn? Sometimes the shaft on the motor needs a drop of 3 in one oil. Needs to be upside down though. Let it seep

    into the motor.
