I hear you Fred, would have loved to not touched it but the number of cracks in the sealant and the amount of sealant there already lead me to believe it needed to come off. The coach is 9 years old and I don't think it has ever had anything more than a wash up there. I do have a scheduled maintenance appointment next month and am thinking about having them replace it just to avoid the chance of damaging the roof if I try to attempt to remove the low spots which in the front edge is more than 1/2 an inch.
