I added my spotlight to the rooftop after arriving late at an unfamiliar campground after dark. I don't use it often, but when I need it, it's great!
Fred - sjholtExplorerGot one on mine- never used it.
- want-a-beExplorerThanks for all the suggestions. I guess if I drove more at night it would help!

Those are commonly called SCARE LIGHTS I think... My trailer has two - one on each side in the rear.
Where we camp its neat to turn on to see if the bear outside is a BLACK BEAR or a BROWN BEAR... The BROWN BEAR needs a louder noise to make it run off I guess...
The OP has a remotely aimable rooftop spotlight, not a "scare light".
Yeah, but the bear pic is pretty cool anyway. Thanks for that, Roy. :) - Dutch_12078Explorer II

Although we don't often drive at night, making a left turn onto an unlighted/poorly lighted road in the rain was difficult. The headlights just point straight ahead and the side markers were useless.
It's like turning into a huge, dark blind spot. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIWe rarely travel at night but on those occassions when we needed to the spot light was very handy for looking around as we drove in. I have also used it when I hear strange noise outside (as I am surely not going out). I've had the coach for 16 years and I have likely only used it a few dozen times and I could easily live without it!
