Roof

A buddy of mine was telling me about his 1992 motorhome he bought last year. The roof had a leak so the previous owner fixed the leak then had that spray on bedliner (like the bed of a truck) sprayed onto the roof. Anyone hear or think of this before? Claims it was dirt cheap compared to a new roof and should last a long time. One problem I first thought was he sprayed it over the original rubber roof so it "floats". Not sure if removing the roof and applying the spray liner would be better.
  • He said it is a clear material and you color it before spraying so his is a light tan that matches he coach.
  • i believe this is what you are talking about.

  • I'll have to ask him what color it is. I know you can get them in lighter colors. We have a 1980 Jeep CJ-5 and plan to spray the interior with bedliner
  • A black roof is a very hot roof.

Our rig is painted, but our roof remains pure white as shown.
  • 1992 may have been a metal roof. IIRC there may be a product out that has been designed for RV roofs also.
