Running light problem

I have a 2004 Allegro Motorhome. The running lights just stopped working so night driving/towing is not possible. I still have headlights, brake lights and turn signals. Any ideas on trouble shooting? The fuse under the instrument panel is intact. That's the only thing I knew to check out. Any suggestions are appreciated. Gia
  • Is it all the running lights? If tail lights are working you need to find the main feed to the running lights. If just a portion of them are not working work from that feed. Either way to me it is either a fuse (and will affect tails) or bad wiring/connection.
  • If all lights are out I would check the ground wire connection. They are all probably wired in series to 1 ground wire. See if you have power to one light.
  • Be aware that on the Ford F53 chassis there are 2 fuses for the tail lights. One for the coach and one for the trailer connector. Make sure you are checking the correct one.
  • What chassis is your rig on?
Have you changed the tailight/clearance light fuse? Don't go by looks alone.
  • The running lights are on the tail light circuit, you may have a bad connection at one of the lights.
