Running on one battery

Help! I have two 12-volt batteries in parallel under my step. One of them cracked and leaked. I have remove the one bad battery. The other appears fine. Can I just wire the one battery into the cables under the step and run on it safely until we get home in two days? Is there any risk in doing this? I think I will just have less 12-volt power available while not plugged into 110. True?

Not a problem running on one. The one remaining battery should work better, now that it doesn't have a bad one trying to drain it off.

Good time to switch over to two 6v golf cart batteries.

If one went bad you may want to think about replacing the one battery you still have.

Thanks for the replies. I have it wired up and it is working. Will get a new battery when we get home.

Not a problem. Just make sure there are no loose hot wires which could short out.
