I would leave the inverter OFF next time you travel. 4 to 6 hours will not cause the refer to lose that much cooling. OR run the Genset instead of the Inverter. Doug- allbrandautoExplorerthanks Doug but the first time it went completely blank will ac ripple make it do that to I did install a residential ref. with a pure sine inverter both times it happened going down the road
- If you do, you will waste your money as the new one will do the same thing. It can be caused by AC ripple in the 12 volt wiring. But, tracing that down would take a lot of time. RVP makes a filter kit for this Tstat. But it is not guaranteed. RVP P/n for the filter is 8330-3301. If you buy a NEW ZC tstat, it comes with the filter system built in to the circuit board. But, there are no gurantees either will work. If you have dirty DC voltage, it may slip past the filters. usually a Ceiling(Fluorescent) light bad ballast is the cause. So, if you have Fl lights in the RV, turn them off and see if the 00 goes away. If so, you then turn each light ON unit the 00 comes back. Then that light is the defective one. Doug
- allbrandautoExplorershould I buy another thermostat
- 00 is a loss of communication and is common on ZC tstats. You can do a few things
1. WAIT for 10 to 15 minutes and it sometimes comes online
2. Pop the cover and pull the 5 amp fuse on the tstat control board for 2 minutes and reinstall
3. Turn the Coach battery disconnect OFF for a few minutes and then reconnect 12 volt power. Doug
