RV Garage

If you were to build a RV garage , would you make it wide enough to open slides while housed inside. Also How wide would you make it. I own older rv no slides, so I' am looking at overall needs of garage if I someday update the RV. and looking at overall cost factor of project. I am thinking of making it wide enough to open storage bays and have room to walk beside rig to load and work on RV while inside. Any thoughts on spacing from others would be appreciated.

I would make it at least 45ft long with a 15X15Ft roll up door or bi-fold doors. The interior would be wide enough to open the slides, still be able to walk around the RV and access all compartments.

This would cover just about any RV you would ever buy.
Pretty close ... & this would also improve the resale considerably. Anyone wanting to buy will also be looking for that garage and odds are they'll have slideouts.
  • If it were me, I would definitely want the garage wide enough to open the bay doors and have the sides open. I would think 14-16 ft. wide, 55 ft. deep (min).

If you like to do your own maintenance or just check things under your coach, put in a pit so that you can safely go under.

I would want plenty of lighting, sewer connection, 50 amp service, insulated, etc.

    Good luck,
    MM.
