RV parks in Arizona

We would like to stay in Arizona Jan-Mar. Any suggestions of good places to camp and must see places to go?

  • I would pick two cities at opposite ends and book half your time at one and the other half at the other. This way you could make two large sightseeing arcs from each base camp and see pretty much of everything, since this is your first trip.

Make the first city, the farthest west, so you can hit Quartzsite in January during the big RV show, around January 20th to 29th. It's something every RVer should see once in their life. I wouldn't camp there, but be able to drive there for a day or two.
  • Maybe somewhere in the Phoenix or Mesa area to start. Central location.
Try Lake Havasu City, Parker, Quartzsite or Yuma on the west side.

Also Tucson and Casa Grande areas.

Buy an RV park directory and start making calls. Should get a reservation soon.
    It's a popular winter area.

    Call me if you wish.

  • Gold Canyon East of Phoenix, Canyon Vista RV Resort was one of the ones we enjoyed several winters
  • Yuma, AZ will most likely be the warmest.
    Lots of RV parks.
Also lots of private lot rentals in the Yuma Foothills.
    and don't forget...Quartzsite, AZ
  • We are looking for a resort type full hookup. Not sure just were in the state. Reasonable in price. Like golf. And seeing the sights willing to travel about 2 hours from camp sight to see the sights. This will be our first time out for 3 months we are from PA
  • Are you looking for resort type place or bare bones and you make your own fun?
Do you want to boon dock or full hook ups?
    City or rural?
    Hiking?
    heated pool?
