The difference between the Mark 8000 and the RVPro 10000 is the amount of softening between recharging. I.E. assuming you have 20 grains hardness the 8000/20 would give you 400 gallons and the 10000/20 would give you 500. Main difference is ease of recharging...the 8000 has a 3" neck and the 10000 only 3/4". They both soften the water the same.....Dennis
