RV with W/D and internet access questions

Whoops, earlier I said gas in Alamogordo went up yesterday and was more expensive than diesel. Today diesel caught up. They are a penny or two apart at about $2.14

We've never been questioned about use of W/D in RV parks. It probably is true you can do your laundry in 1 1/2 hour in public laundry. Not sure it includes carrying to and from and waiting in line to use dirty washers. I'm a guy. I didn't have a clue until I went with my DW to the laundramat. My clothes go into those machines? Sorry, not for me. Also keep in mind a stacked vented unit cannot be compared to a combo unit or unvented units.

We put our clothes into our washer or dryer and take off and leave. No wasted time and at about $40 to $50 a month for a laundramat doesn't take long to pay for a W/D.

Some 31' will have them but will take up valuable storage space. I would look at a 33-34'. We use Verizon hotspot. Used it all over the country. If you have cell service, you have internet.

We are looking at per-owned gas model (since diesel is now way more expensive than gas).... would really prefer a Class B+ which I think would be easier to drive (but would like the W/D)....

Really? I bought diesel fuel last week
It was cheaper than regular gas at my local place

JfNM, not sure where in NM you are,but I noticed yesterday here in Alamogordo the price of gas went up and is now about 10 cents a gallon more than diesel.

Re: Internet access - that is my approach here in the west. My very unofficial polling indicates that Verizon still has the best coverage out here - especially when off from the beaten path. Wilson (now weBoost) amplifiers can be very helpful.

Diesel is currently very close (+10 cents) to the price of gasoline here in New Mexico.

I have been seeing on a lot of CG policies lately that you aren't allowed to use your washer and dryer. Not sure how they would know but it's been on the policies at about 50% of the CG's I've been in the past year.

I know many like the W/D and that's fine but keep in mind that they take up precious storage space especially if you get a small RV. Will you do many public campgrounds - state parks, national parks, national forest? If so, you won't be able to do laundry without a sewer and water connection. The capacity is small so from what I read folks do laundry about every day or two. We went to the laundry in town about every two weeks and got it all done in 1-1/2 hours. We were there to grocery shop, etc. anyway so it was no big deal. Not trying to talk you out of it but just some things to think about. Also, regardless to what some folks say, the laundries were always clean. We never found anything inside the machines. The machines do multiple rinses so how can dirt still be in them?

Also, we used the Jetpack with Verizon with no issues - even when dry camping in forest campgrounds in the boonies. Towers are all over nowadays.
