Just a curiosity question from a now full time rver. We are from non tornado country and have wondered if there was no shelter are we better off in the rig?(39ft hr 4 slides) all slides in on the floor or do we run for the ditch.
We learned from a sister in joplin to carry a weather scanner and know what county you are in.
Thoughts from tornado country folks?
Honestly, I think I would not stay in the motorhome. A ditch might be your best bet in a real tornado situation. Grab something and hold on tight!
Running into a tornado is one of my biggest fears when traveling. I would much rather be in a severe earthquake than a tornado. At least your stuff is not wet and thrown all over the place (have homes in both scenarios, LOL).
We try to be very aware of the weather when we travel. Anything can happen even with the best planning.
