How did those Bald Eagles know the trees they picked for there nest wouldn't blow over?

I've got hundreds of trees on our property and can easily see which ones are stronger than the others and less likely to blow over. I'm sure a bald eagle that depends on their nest can do a better job than me. It's not that tough. Trees surrounded by other trees are usually better protected as well.
