Safari Velvet Ride

Can a velvet ride suspension be removed from a Safari and replaced with an air ride?
How well would it work out?

thanks

I know of one gentleman that replaced the velvet ride on his Safari with the air system from a salvaged Beaver. This was years ago and I might be off on some of the details. It was the late Ralph Andrews of Pioneer Metal Works. If you are not familiar check them out. They also used to sell a air suspension kit to be used with existing velvet ride- probably still do. Question, is this a coach you own or one you are looking at?
  • Sounds extremely expensive. If it were me, rather than re-do the entire suspension system I'd just get an air-ride coach and be done with it.
  • I guess nothing is impossible.

But, perhaps there is a less expensive option.

What is wrong/what are you trying to correct?
