Has anyone used a Scan Gauge on their diesel pusher? Do you recommend the purchase of one and is it cost effective?

I have a ScanGauge D on my '96 Safari, with the 250hp 3126 Cat, and I personally would not buy one if I had it to do over again.
1.) It was a PITA to install because I had modify the SGD connecting plug to fit my diagnostic port.
2.) I had to send the first one back and get a newer version because the boost gauge display was way off.
3.) On my coach it will NOT display the trans fluid temp, (TFT)...(that's not Linear Logic's fault, but the fault of SMC, the coach builder.
4.) I have given up trying to mount where I can see and reach it from the drivers seat.....(it continually falls off/down).
A "gadget guy" MIGHT find it worthwhile but to me it was/is not worth the $$$, (to much trouble).
IMO, most coaches give us enough problems without paying $170.00 to add another!
I'm very disappointed with mine, (aka: I'm NOT a "happy camper").
