That's right.
By "Shot" I meant the same as "driven". I assume that just about everyone uses a powered device to run these screws in.
Thanks to all for the assurance about the security of the mounting.
And as far as the strength of the shelf above the unit, if it wasn't strong enough to support its share of the weight, then shooting screws down through it wouldn't make it any stronger.
The previous installation lasted 15 years. If we are on the road that much longer, I'll be DELIGHTED! :-)
