I was thinking about this, as well. The lateral pipe does not hang exactly parallel to the coach either. There will be a downward tilt. Because of the length, after driving and use, I would expect the weight, on the end, to pull the end down more. I guess you could install a velcro strap or bungie toward the end to help reduce this risk. I would keep it at 2' or less. That still holds 10-15' of 3" hose.
