service engine soon light
I have a 2007 winnebago voyage on a workhorse chassis, Had the service engine soon light come on , my gas cap was not on properly , what BRAIN Surgeon decided to have a warning light come on for a loose gas cap.

- The government had to protect us from the people who do not tighten their gas cap.
A loose gas cap allows fuel vapors to escape into the atmosphere, and triggers the car’s computer that something’s wrong with the evap system.
SO if we all remember to tighten the cap the light would not be necessary but we do not so the light car thinks something is wrong thank gosh it was just a loose gas cap - Now you will put your gas cap on properly. :p
With the cap not on correctly, you could have fuel run down and possibly ignite your tank. I think it's a good safety feature.
