Hahaha! Good one!
Here's a photo of the dad. :) - JagtechExplorerI have an acquaintance whose 6 year old boy was kicked out of the local public swimming pool. The pool management said he was peeing in the pool. The irate dad argued that all little boys pee in the pool!
"Not from the high diving board, they don't" was the response from the management. - J-RoosterExplorerI would leave there and not come back until problem is solved.
- BigdogExplorerFood could be an item as it said that 8 of the 9 were small children. Mebbee there was a vendor that had bad food or they all ate at the same family table.
Bad Clams? - wa8yxmExplorer IIIIt may be non-related to the campground.. As someone said, "Bad Mystic Pizza" perhaps they all ate at the same table/diner and that's the tribble.
Not much can go wrong with a pool that will send normal people to hospital (Normal, in this context, means "not sensitive to chlorine" by the way, Some folks are allergic/sensitive to chlorine.. Have to DE-chlorinize before they take a bath if on genuine city water). - johnhicksExplorerToo low FC would test as low FC; you could of course have normal FC and high TC and chloramines would give that smell which means you need to "shock" the pool or simply run high enough FC that shocking isn't needed.
Maybe in this case someone shocked the pool and simply didn't close it long enough or used too much. - STBRetiredExplorerBaby Ruth looks better than Snickers.
- Passin_ThruExplorerThe weak will eventually be eliminated! BWAHAHA Always carry a Snickers bar to clear the pool! Too low Chlorine content gives Chlorine Odor. I have a Salt water pool and that's how we tell if it's low. Acidic burns the eyes.

http://www.thepoolclinic.com/2011/04/18/chlorine/ - johnhicksExplorerIf a pool gets too acidic, especially if a fairly high amount of dichlor or trichlor is used in these hot high-use months, it can develop a strong "too much chlorine" smell but still test a normal free chlorine level. Small children would probably feel sick from that.
If that's what happened the solution is to adjust the pool alkaline.
