Hello All,I get the best ideas from this place!Anyhow, I have another problem I would like to throw by everyone.I have a 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree and for the sewer hose, they left me a small door and a pipe type holder, only about 2.5 feet deep, anyhow, I cannot fit anything other than the sewer hose into this tube, because of the small diameter, and then leave only 1 plastic end kind of just hanging inside the door, anyone know the best way to cure this? I hoped I described this properly, it is a pain to have to hook up the ends to the flexible tubing all the time, and it seems very uncleanlyThanks everyone in advanceRick

Our Jayco has that little tube too. There are longer versions, but you have to look to see if some part of the coach keeps a longer one from fitting. That's the case with ours. Many of the OPs here make a carrier out of PVC pipe or a PVC fencepost. You don't want to stow the hose in the square steel bumper, will rust it out.In our case, the flimsy plastic door catch wouldn't keep the hose in. I got a metal catch at Home Depot. Nice enough, holds shut, but the only ones they had require (and come with) keys. I don't think there's that much Sewer Hose Theft, but ours is Secure! With the solid catch, I can push the hose we normally dump with into place. We carry longer ones, and I keep them in the steel bumper. Luckily we don't use them very often and when we do I have time to let them dry.

I have the same useless hollow bumper on my Fleetwood 'C'. I found 3 plastic bins about 3'W, 4'L, and 1'D with snap on lids at a local Dollar Store. One for the slinky, one for water and one for electrical. They stack and fit in the rear storage compartment. Works for me.

I got a long sewer hose carrier from Camping World. Had a welder fit drop down metal bracket pieces from TT side frames just forward of rear wheels. In fact I added TWO carriers back to back. Worked GREAT.

Never heard of a sewer hose rusting out a bumper.

I just leave the sewer hose in a clear plastic tub in the passthrough compartment. This way, I have the hose, an extension, the 90 degree elbow, and another extension ready to go. Since I usually run about 40 gallons of grey, the hose tends to be well rinsed out and doesn't stink unless I stick my nose in it, which I prefer not to do.

That is a great question... even if you could store the hose in the bumber there is no room for all the fittings. I attched a rubbermaid-like tote, but alot stronger with a lockable lid to the bumber using u-shaped bolts ( the same ones that are probably holding your spare tire to the bumber ). This has worked out GREAT for me. I can fit all 20' of hose and all of the fittings. Another thing I like about it, is that the hose is not inside the camper at all.
