I don't take it as a bashing..most people don't realize exactly what Moisheh brought to light...the fact is Navistar got the assets without the liabilities which gave them the right to scr** the old Monaco owners and the dealers, yet use the very same products with the very same people building and servicing them. At the same time, Navistar got our records, lock, stock and barrel and the right to sell us parts for a profit...the same very parts that were used in our coaches regardless of the owners. Now because of the legal stuff, they got to simply disavow us regardless of our safety, even though they knew our safety was compromised. This very same debacle happened to every owner of an RR4R chassis with the very expensive trailing arms fiasco. I just wish that somehow the use of the old name and the old logo and the very same people in the very same facility using the very same parts then gave them an implied liability to ensure safety. Instead due to the very antics of the famous 3 stooges lawyers, (Dewey, Cheatam, and Howe), a huge corporation got to try an RV adventure for next to nothing, leaving many people and legitmate businesses up the creek in its wake, and yet makes money upon its exit. Now that my coach is safe,I intend to enjoy it. Amazingly enough, the fact that I was not worth the cost of the postage by Navistar to at least enlighten me about this when it came to be will weighed in my decision on my next coach..same president before, during and after the Navistar thing too which only adds insult to injury. I truly want to see the Monaco/HR name continue as it will keep our coaches from becoming paperweights. I'm done...again, thank you to the fifth wheel person that posted this info and I am truly sorry you had a fire...my switch was at critical mass, and I believe you might have saved mine and my wife's life, not to mention anyone else's or my dogs.
