Wolf10 was quicker on the mouse than me. The fastest, easiest, safest way to remove that seized nut is the hacksaw. Get close to the threads but not into them. Even if your too far from the threads, the nut will easily spin off once you remove the bulk of the nut on the one side.
Or: use a disc grinder to grind one side of the nut down to just short of the threads.
