Short Sheets

My wife and I ordered a new Thor ACE 30.1 around six weeks ago. This is our first motorhome. We are starting to purchase items for the motorhome, dishes, blankets, silverware etc. The queen bed in the motorhome is a short queen. My question is will regular queen sheets work or does everyone buy the short queen sheets? I am sure I will have lots more questions once we get the motorhome. Thanks for everyone’s advice.. Roy

  • Pick up a set of "sheet garters" at Walmart for about $5. They're elastic straps that clip diagonally across the corners of the fitted sheet under the mattress to pull it tight for a snug fit. Regular queen sheets work well then. Personally, I like to have my toes hanging down over the end of the mattress when I sleep on my belly, so the short queen mattress suits me just fine.

Well I'm 6' 3" and already know it will probably be a problem. I'm not sure that there is room once the slide comes in to change out the mattress to a reg one. I guess I will wait and see. Thanks
  • Tried it both ways when we had a short queen. Fitted sheets will not work, so the DW used two top sheets, but this combo didn't work that good. Finally broke down and paid the big $$ they want for short queen sets and we were happy with this combo. Didn't want to go through that again so when I purchased my current coach, I made sure it had a regular sized queen bed.
