Shower head comparisons.

Recently purchased an installed an oxygenetics shower head, says it saves water. The product in the coach was an Alsons, maybe 50 small holes in a circle verses the oxygenetics super head. Anyway, both fill a gallon container in 45 seconds with the water on full tilt. I like the oxygenetics water flow which would rinse suds off more quickly than the pin hole head. I prefer a full flow rinse verses the tiny pin hole sprayer. At 50 bucks though, not sure if it was worth it. Could have drilled out a few more holes on the other head and spent the 50 at the casino.....
  • When I bought mine it was only $25. I like it because I can turn the water down and still get a good shower. Is it worth $50? I guess that depends on you. I would look around for a better price.

I've got the oxygenics and like it. Paid $35 on amazon

you know what ,so did I. I forgot I had another item on the receipt...
  • I like the oxygenics as well. I paid 39 at the dealership's parts department for it.
  • Putting an oxygenics shower head on has been my first mod for the past 5 campers I've owned. I believe that it mixes more air in with the water, so the water flow is more forceful. It is currently $31 on amazon.
  • I don't believe I have ever used our Oxygenics `full tilt'. It seems to manufacture water flow even on low flow. I chuckle at those that complain about an expensive often used accessory in their $100K rig.

Hey Dick......the reason for my post is there are folks out there that maybe were considering one of these AND 50 bucks is a big deal to them. Actually, I posted the incorrect price it was more like 35. Anyway, Dick, I was not complaining but trying to be helpful, Dick. You have a pleasant day, Dick. LOL
  • Keep those Oxygenics receipts, if you don't have your receipt they won't honor the warranty. We had one, loved it at the beginning, then it just started getting crummy and kind of spitting water out. Eventually it just gave up and blurbed water out. Since the whole thing is sealed pretty well, we never cracked it open to try to fix it. Our receipt was long gone, so Oxygenics wouldn't help us (or even give us tips on how to open it to try fixing ourselves). It finally bit the dust when we were on the road, so I picked up a low flow Waterpik brand one at Wally World for maybe $15. We've been running happily with the Waterpik ever since, and it has been a couple of years. DH and I both feel that it is every bit as good a flow as the Oxygenics had been...so our temporary fix has become the permanent solution.

So, I'll say that I was an Oxygenics convert, until I wasn't ;)
  • I tried the oxygenics and didn't like it at all. Prefer the softer flow of the stock unit. Also, the oxygenics filled a gallon bucket in 30 seconds. My stock unit filled a gallon in just over one minute. I get a very nice shower in two minutes and only use 2 gallons of water. No navy showers for me.

My choice was to put back the stock unit and never looked back. But as they say, to each their own. What's good for one person may not be so good for another.
  • Just bought one and LOVE it! By the way you can push the button in only 1/2 way and still get a pretty good stream to rinse off in and use less water. Just figured that out which makes it even better for me.
