Slide won't go out, 2000. , Intruder. ,fixed!!

FIXED My living room/dinning room slide won't go out.
It is a powergear. Two new Interstate batteries installed, fully charged.
Can hear clicking when switch is activated. How do I manually open slide, for access to motor. I don't have a manual.
Anyone that has worked on the large, Power gear slide, I would your like help!
Thank you,
Chuck

It was 30amp breaker in BCC. Batteries were not charging, low voltage.

Thanks for all the help!!

Chuck
  • Mine won't deploy slides, with engine running.
It is charging now. Will try later.

    Thanks,
    Chuck
  • I have a 2001 Damon Challenger same size. Had problem with bedroom slide one time. It was a small 25a fuse next to the motor under the bed. Before I had the fuse I ran it out manually. I also have been able to move it by disconnecting the slide motor and and hooking the wires to a battery booster. My kitchen slide motor is accessible from the basement.
  • Engine running for power gear is generally required as they suck a lot of juice. On my winnebago vista I can get one out without running engine and then not enough juice left. I always run the engine and that is recommended in the manual. The clicking says not enough juice I think. Your emergency brake is set otherwise you would get nothing. So fire up the engine and let us know.
  • I would try charging those batteries...12.7 is lower than I would expect from fully charged batteries. I'm not familiar with your setup but an internet search for the manual should yield results.
