slide won't work, Damon, Intruder, 2000 FIXED!!

With my Power Gear system I need to have the motor running to provide enough power to operated the system. Fully charged battery might not be enough to operate your system too. Can't see a lock-out system preventing the operation of the slides with the ignition on.

The Damon, does. It has worked fine till now.
Won't work with the ignition on.

The "overide" of a Powergear is a manual brake lever on the motor and has nothing to do with switch operation for your problem. You need to find the control module for the Powergear. Also, check the switch for loose wires. You can REVERSE the wires to see if that will operate the room out. If so, the switch is bad. IF you get motor or switch operation with the key on (you stated retract seemed to engage) that takes the Ign out of the loop. If you get retract with the key on then it will extend also. The Ignition system operates both ways. Doug

Send Power Gear an email, they will respond quickly.

There should be a resettable DC circuit breaker within about two feet of your BCC (Battery Control Center). Damon sometimes used an auto-reset breaker that looks like this

Checked all the fuses, in main breaker panel, and BCC, they are all good.
Switch has power to one side, but not the other. Looked for other fuses, inline fuses with no success.
Will try to contact Powergear.
Any additional suggestions will be appreciated.

PG will not know where the module is. You need to find the Module. Doug

Could it be a bad switch? Can you take the power wire to the switch off and touch it to the side that makes the slide go out and see if it works.

There are many possible issues.. On my Damon Intruder (2005) The slides will not work with the ignition on, Nor are they supposed to, They work fine with it off however, There is also a key switch that has to be on on the main house control panel...

Mine are electric, the main slide is a power gear rack and pinion, it used to eat shear pins till some nice forum member told me what I was doign wrong, (Bolts too short) now it works great,, I still buy pins by the dozen though (Just not nearly as often) the pin is a 1/4 inch grade bolt,, You need to make sure the SHANK (Smooth part) of the bolt goes all the way through the square shaft, then use washers so you can tighten down the nut. If the threads are inside the shaft it snaps like a toothpick.

Different models were different as to ignition on or off.. But on mine I need Ignition ON for the jacks and OFF for the slides.

I checked the switch. power on one side, none on the other.
I located two relays near the BCC, but don't know if the are for slide, all fuses I found check OK.
Anyone have a wiring diagram slide system. Can't find a model # for system. called Damom they are not able to help.
