I hate it when that happens! The problem is the passing lanes are usually placed on the more level sections of the road with the least curves. So you've been behind the guy for miles but when he hits the passing lane the road straightens out so he speeds up and the cars behind can't get around before the lane ends! When I'm in the motorhome I always slow in the passing lane to let most everybody around that wants to get around.
yup. even then there are some autos that wait until the last possible moment.
