ours quit working and the knob would just keep going. Found this reset procedure: worth a shot:
Wait a few minutes for the drain pump to empty the tub, turn the washer-dryer Power button OFF (out). Select one of the "Reset" positions on the knob, then switch the Power back ON. If the knob continues to turn, call for assistance.
