you will have to go longer for the strut. They are sold for the inches of travel and the weight that they will hold up. If you have a door that opens the height that you need see if it has a number or measure it. The doors under my slide have a racket piece of metal that allows one end of the strut to slide up and down about a foot. The next time out to the Rv will get you a picture if someone doesn't have one.
