StraightTalk is available to either use the Verizon or AT&T towers. If you root/unlock your phone you can set it up for tethering. I just received a text from StraightTalk where my unlimited plan now includes 3GB of high speed data for web surfing, so I am all set to tether my PC to the phone when we travel.
StraightTalk is the best non-contract service out there.

What you just posted was dated BEFORE the text that I received on 5/16/2014 that tells me I now have 3GB of high speed data for web surfing. Terms change, as the text illustrates. No need for StraightTalk to send this text since I already had UNLIMITED service unless it was to give it's users an additional 3GB of data use for internet service to use. With my tethering I plan on using it. Feel free to stick with their old, outdated, contract terms.
