I have a 2007 Gulfstream B Touring Cruiser and due to a very crappy design on the part of Gulfstream, most if not all of the taillight bulb sockets are corroded due to salt, dirt....I cannot find a replacement sockets anywhere. Heck, I'd even replace the entire assembly if I have to. Gulfstream is no help and I am counting on you guys for some guidance. Without brake lights, I am dead in my tracks.Thanks

Call Gulfstream and get make and model of the taillight assembly used.If possible post photo of complete unit. Could be a generic from Bargman or Peterson.Look for the numbers on the lens and post them.

I saw a yoochoob of that rig, likely the same as yours. The light assembly seems to be a custom, at least fitted into the molded rear fiberglass.If you can remove the assembly, I would see if the actual sockets can be taken apart. Replacements might be located at a truck parts supplier or by taking apart another assembly.

Look carefully and/or post a close-up picture. The OEM lights on ours (signature) were three-lens Bargman assemblies. We had corroded sockets, loose bulbs, etc. etc. Bargman sells LED "conversion kits" which are an LED array that PLUGS INTO the socket in the original light. Enough kits to convert added to more $ than the direct replacement LED light assembly. I ordered a pair from Eastern Marine. They wire direct to the coach's wiring, no plugs, sockets, etc. Mounting holes line up. BRIGHT!!! Get a pic, ideally some measurements, any names or numbers on them. Hopefully somebody can match them to a generic light. And pray they don't cross to whatever my OP buddy with a Four Winds 5000 has. Those are twice the price of he Bargman lights I bought.

Tried a search for "BT Cruiser Tail Lamp" and found this on eTrailer. The light they mention is just a plain old round truck/trailer light. Doesn't seem it'd be what you have but that's what I found so far.

If it's just corrosion and it has not eaten through the sockets, I'd disconnect the starting battery and try to grind corrosion away with a Dremel tool and drum sander and maybe a grinding stone used gently to clean brass contacts. Reconnect the battery and install fresh bulbs. Might need to squeeze socket a little to make good contact with the bulb bases.Worth a try!!

Our C is low end and 14 years old and a tiny plastic tab on one tail light broke so a haywire repair is holding the plastic cover on. At a discount auto store (Princess Auto) I found very similar sized lights for $15 each. LED of course. The store had LED clearance lights looking just like ours on sale for $2.50. I missed the sale and paid $5.

Were you able to find a replacement light socket bar anywhere or did you discover another solution?

I always coat any lighting sockets or fuse sockets or basically all electrical connections with a coating of dielectric grease. It seals out moisture and prevents corrosion and makes removal of the lighting bulb much easier with no corrosion.

I also put a squirt of dielectric grease on any camp site power pedestal sockets prior to plugging in. This not only makes insertion and removal easier it keeps moisture away from the contacts.
