tech needed Ft Wilderness

I have a small leak in the air bags on rear. I would like to find an RV Tech who can come to my lot at Ft Wilderness. I think it requires some soapy water and a good eye. Anyone with experience you would recommend?
  • Tampa Spring in Lakeland FL works on air bags. They do have mobile service but not sure about the distance (48 miles) Worth a call: Tampa Spring 710 S. Combee Rd Lakeland, FL 33801 Phone: 863-937-0406. If they can't come there maybe they know someone who can.
  • Camping Connection located on Hwy 192 ... (407)397-2267 ... Talk to Tony. They specialize in mobile tech work.

Thanks I will give them a call. It is an after market air ride system called Kelderman which is coupled with springs so I can drive without difficulty just not quite as smooth on bad roads. The front and rear are separate trunks. My rear bags lose air so a coupling is probably leaking but I don't have the no how or ability to get to the underneath where the hoses run. Appreciate the quick responses.

I usually do check with campground for services but the recommendations on this forum are almost always more reliable.
  • Goldencrazy,

I lost my Kelderman's twice while traveling out west. I recommend you drive it to a commercial truck tire store. They will fix it in minutes.

One place charged me $50.00 and the other did it for free out in the parking lot.
  • Thanks Holstein. When I was parked with some time I took the soapy water and found the leak was in a connection close to the pressure valve and my valve leaked a little. So I taped one and used plumber teflon tape on the valve stem and it seems to be holding. Appreciate the advice. Now what do you mean you lost them?
  • Both times the heat from the engine melted a hose feeding the bags in front. When I got home, I wrapped the hoses with a heat shield and that has seemingly fixed the problem.
