Televisions don't work...need advice

Both t.v.'s quit working at the same time. Appeared to me to be a tripped circuit breaker. So, I looked and no breaker was visually tripped. Just in case, I opened and reclosed all the breakers but t.v.'s still off. They are the only things off...all other electrical areas work. I can't see where each of the two t.v.'s are 'plugged in'. The one in the front is the type that comes up out of the counter. The one in the bedroom is apparently plugged in inside the wall area. In short, can't locate receptacles. I hope one of you readers can clue me in to a possible problem - location - (fix). Short of that...as much as I hesitate... back to CW.

FIRST....you need to know FOR SURE if the TVs run off of AC or DC power.

THEN....you need to find the point of connection (outlets).

IF....you bought this new from a dealer, they should be able to help you with this, but be sure they tell you what the problem was and WHY.

They might even do this "no charge".....yes, maybe even CW.

  • If the manufacturer plugged the TV's in then there is reasonable access to the plugs. You might need to unscrew a panel to get there but you need to find that access and get to the plugs. You then need to plug in a lamp or drill or something into the plug to ensure there is actually no power to the plug and not something more weird like both TV's dying simultaneously. Before this happened, did both of the TV's work when you were not plugged into shore power (means you have an inverter)? Did this happen while both TV's were on or something that happened while you were away? If you were there, did you happen to turn something else on at the moment the TV's went off?

Check for a reset button on your inverter if you have one

Most Motorhomes, if you have the smaller Inverter, power the entertainment systems. If it fails or the breaker ON the Inverter is tripped you lose power to the entertainment 120 plugs. FIND the Inverter and check its power and reset buttons. Doug
