Tempurpedic / Memory Foam or Sleep Number Bed

I am looking at RV mattress choices. We have the sleep number bed in our current coach. It is nice, but not over the top comfortable. Has anyone slept on the new style TempurPedic RV mattresses? I would like to know opinions on the differences. Thanks!

Have you tried a foam "topper" for your bed? We bought a 2" memory foam topper for our TT bed, and it works great.

I have always heard that people are love/hate towards full memory foam beds - they are either the best bed a person has ever used, or they can't sleep in one at all.
  • Also look at www.verlo.com where they have their one version of Tempur-pedic
  • We have a Tempurpedic in the stick house and love it. However, those things are really heavy and I don't necessarily want that much weight on the bed platform in the coach. When we bought our current coach last year, the dealer replaced the original king mattress with a nice firm inner spring mattress and added a Woolrich topper that is filled with something like down. We like it as much as our Tempurpedic at home.
  • I love memory foam. Just plain memory foam. Not as crazy about gel as memory foam. Our new coach will have a sleep number. I have slept on them and like the option to adjust my level nightly to what my body likes and different from spouse. We went from queen to king or I would have transferred our mattress.
